Intimate & Sensual Portraiture for New Orleans Couples

A couples boudoir session is not about posing two people side by side. It is about photographing the way you already are together — the closeness, the humor, the moments in between. Couples come to the studio to mark an anniversary, to celebrate a trip to New Orleans, as a gift before the wedding, or simply because they want honest, beautiful images of each other.

Sessions take place at NOLA Boudoir Studio, 1216 N Galvez Street, in the Tremé and Esplanade Ridge — about 3 minutes from the French Quarter, very close to the Marigny and the CBD, and an easy drive from the Garden District, Uptown, and Lakeview. Free street parking is right outside.

Nervous? That is normal.

Marc uses a guided posing framework: clear, step-by-step positioning — where to put a hand, where to look, how close to stand — combined with small prompts that create real reactions instead of forced smiles.

Sessions usually start with relaxed, more clothed images so you can warm up together. Within a few minutes the camera stops being the center of attention and the chemistry takes over. You never have to figure out what to do on your own.

Complete privacy

The studio is a closed set — only the two of you and the photographer. There is a private space to change, music of your choosing, and drinks on hand if you choose. Images are delivered through a private online gallery and are never shared publicly without your written permission.

Couples sessions can include individual images of each partner as well, so one booking covers both solo and couples boudoir. Couple's packages begin at $700; hair and makeup, prints, and heirloom albums are available as add-ons.

Couples boudoir FAQ

Questions couples ask.

Is couples boudoir photography popular in New Orleans?+

Yes. Couples boudoir is one of the fastest-growing session types at NOLA Boudoir Studio. Many couples book it for an anniversary, Valentine's Day, a honeymoon or getaway weekend in New Orleans, or as a pre-wedding gift to each other. Visitors staying in the French Quarter, Marigny, or Garden District are about ten minutes from the studio in Mid-City.

What should we wear for a New Orleans couple's boudoir shoot?+

Coordinate rather than match. Pair textures and tones: lace with dark denim, a silk slip with an unbuttoned linen or dress shirt, matching robes, or simply a white sheet. Bring two or three looks each, including something personal, and plan at least one look where one partner is more dressed than the other — it reads beautifully on camera.

How does a couple's session differ from an individual portrait session?+

A couples session focuses on connection and interaction rather than solo posing. Marc directs movement, closeness, and touch so the chemistry looks natural. Most couples sessions also include individual images of each partner, so you can combine solo and couples boudoir in one booking.

What if one of us is nervous or camera shy?+

That is the norm, not the exception — usually one partner is far more excited than the other. Marc uses a step-by-step guided posing framework, starts with relaxed, fully clothed frames, and paces the session to the more nervous partner. Music plays, there are breaks, and nothing happens that either of you is not comfortable with.

Celebrate each other.

Tell Marc your dates and what you are celebrating, and he’ll walk you both through the session.
